As it becomes known more about human cognitive functions and as this field of research holds more favor, its data find more applications for the design of control systems of any kind. For example the knowledge about the features of short term memory predict the best practices for organizing an information output; the knowledge about the attention properties predict the most efficient ways of how to distribute certain control tasks between humans and automatics. In such a way, a cognitive evaluation is the tool to design control systems, which are more human-oriented and robust.
